BumbleBee Brabus

When I heard that smart would have a Brabus offering, I got my second $99 reservation in and waited. When it came time to configure, I was too late and this year's allotment was all gone.

Then I had an opportunity to drive a Brabus coupe at smart Center Seattle and I was hooked. I briefly toyed with the idea of buying the Brabus kit and upgrading my 2008 but found the cost just about the same as trading mine in on an '09. Trouble was, I wasn't sure I wanted to give up our yellow car.

Solution: Black 2009 Brabus coupe + yellow panel swap = Bumble Bee Brabus.

The deal's been made and we'll pick the car up on or about Wednesday, the 15th.

I haven't decided to get the side skirts and valances painted to match yet. I want to see what the car looks like first.

Just wanted to give you an idea of what it would look like to have it painted yellow. Mines has some matte black in it alsoon the front and rear bumper. brabus rear spoiler is next along with lambo doors and Brabus wheels 17's all the way around. I will paint them yellow and balck and have a polished lip. The factory brabus valances come in a grayish color not black

I looked at the new black Brabus I'm buying yesterday. The valances and side sills are all gloss black like the body panels. The ones that come in the kit are not and have to be painted to match.
