Garage
I got the key Insurance deal when I got the car. 5 year deal and I can get a new key ( one /year) or fix any key issue that comes up. for $264.00. I went for it after reading the lost key/re-programing issues at hand

Geez folks - what else are you carrying

Geez folks - what else are you carrying in your pockets with the smart key? I've had mine 7 months, carry the key in my pants (snug jean shorts) pocket all the time and the only thing I've ever done is lock the car accidentally a couple of times. I also carry a Swiss Army knife in the same pocket.
If you're hauling a load of other stuff in there, especially if it's small with corners (to press the buttons) or constantly reaching in and grabbing change or whatever no wonder you're having problems. . .
Make yourself one of those camp-craft necklaces out of plastic lace and carry it around your neck. . . problem solved~! But remember to take it off before going swimming. LOL

Umm.... keys.

That's all it takes to hit a button is other keys on the same key ring.

I fixed mine by epoxying a small O-Ring around the button. Works great, just be careful to not get epoxy on the button or into the crack around the button
