Buying The 2010 Smartie.

Number two Smartie will be a 2010. This makes sense as we are dealing with 24 mo warranty's and we plan to keep the "08".

We are thinking an order placed in the next month (July) should just about hit the early 2010s.

Open to any thoughts, Ideas or suggestions here. The latest delivery date we have heard, so far, is 10-09. A2Jack.

I'm thinking the same. Should be interesting to see engine choices(hopefully) and maybe things changing...like putting the seatback adjuster on the door side of the seat,a retractable sunroof, just a few things.

I already put in my reservation for the 10. My res number is 1571 and the DDE has not been able to estimate my delivery since I put in the res in April. I am thinking I will get the 10 model year car. Also, my dealership said the wait is currently 18 to 23 months.

I'm in the same boat. I'd like to get a 2010 preferably around the June/July 2010 timeframe. Hopefully by then I can sell my truck at breakeven instead of taking a big loss. The whte /silver has grown on me. But I haven't decided to get a smart with the exact same options or get a cabrio.

just paid the $99 to get on the list - i have no res# as of yet. does this mean i'll most likely get a 10? and the wait is now 1.5 to 2 yrs? WTF?

I just got my credit card statement with the $99 charge for the reservation today.
I placed it in late May.
The DDE says March to May 2009.

If the DDE cannot help you, are you sure you used the right email address?

I placed my order for my second smart on January 28th (res #1488) and the dde says Oct 09 - Dec 09.

Now, I'm upset. I placed my order in mid April. Got my credit card statement with the $99 charge. Got my reservation confirmation (1573). . .

. . . But the DDE can't give me a date. How come you get one? I am so jealous, and upset.

Maybe I need to click on that Customer Service link and give them a heads up!
