Buying yellow panels this weekend!

I called smart dealer and they are going to charge 285 plus tax to switch out my black ones. I'd love to do it myself but am REALLY nervous since I've been reading about broken clips etc...

I'm thinking of having my black panels painted (if that's possible).

How is it the first time swapping out panels for you all? I'm going to do this as soon as we have a real break of good weather just in case I have to stop and rest for a day or so! ha ha.

If anyone is interested in helping or showing us how to do this they are welcome to come over!

I found it yesterday and tried to print it out - I may be brave and just take my time and work on this project next weekend! Wish me lots of luck.

Do it yourself. It'll most likely turn into an all day event the first time if you really really take your time. I'm down to about an hour and fifteen minutes for swap outs now.

Don't be scared of the clips. IF it is a BRAND new set of panels in the box they will have spares of all the clips and push rivets.

Do it yourself and you'll be fine. If not, maybe you have a little bit of local smart club support to help.

+1 on that. Once you learn to do the swap you'll want to keep extras on hand "just in case".
