Yes - but it gets a little noisy if it isn't either all the way down or at the first brake light point. I worry about the top getting beat up if it's opened less than that, too. - sheureka

When we open it, we usually open it all the way down.

We open it most of the time, so long as it is not raining or under the mid-day sun.

Stop anywhere, no flapping, no beating.

I usually stop it either at the half way point (first stopping point) or all the way down. I agree there is a difference in the 'drag' so to speak. Sometimes I leave the windows up if I don't want a ton of air (gotta think of the hair. I keep a clip in my car, always). LOVE the cabrio. Didn't order it, got an orphan, but LOVE it. Highly theraputic!!!!!!

I was traveling at 75-80mph and had a 30-40mph cross wind, and the top really struggled to close and wouldn't latch. I had to slow down and try again and it finally latched. These were extreme conditions though and understandable.

You can, with one cavet. To understand it you have to understand that it has two stages. There's the "top" stage, where the top rolls from the front to the back. That you can stop anywhere you want. The second is the collapse, where it lets go of the back top end and folds down. That you can stop anywhere while you're stationary. Once you are moving > 5 mph, the top will force a collapse if it's part way down.

I've opened and close it at up to 70mph without a problem.
