It rained last night for the first time since I got my cabrio last Saturday, and there was some water on the edge of the seats when I got into the car this morning. Is anyone else having a leakage problem? It wasn't a lot of water, but it did concern me.
After tomorrow, when I turn my Lexus in, my cab will be parked in the garage, so I won't have this issue overnight, but it will be outside all day when I'm at work.
Thats odd.. I have had the Cabrio for 7 weeks now, and its been thru rain and a few washings without issue.. is the top going into the track correctly? Sounds
like the dealer should check this one out...

Thanks. I don't think I'll make a special trip, but the next time I'm there, I'll have them take a look at it.
This happened to me once or twice after I removed the roof rails and put them back on. During the rain, I got a few drips at the junction of the driver's side rail and the windshield pillar. It seems to be random, since I've since removed the rails, put them back on, and washed my car several times without leakage. Dealer checked it out and said there was no indication of a problem (they said they hosed it down thoroughly without any leaks). Try removing the rails and putting them back on, them spray water on the roof to see if water gets through.

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't taken the rails out and probably never will, but I'll give this a try. It was only a few drops on the edge of both seats, not a lot of water, but it did concern me a bit.
There was some talk of getting leaks around the side rails on some of the last 450 models in Canada. It was sporadic but apparently not that rare. Supposedly one should make double sure that the rails are installed all the way and seated into the latches securely.
I've only had the rails off my wife's Cabrio once. They went back in easily enough it seemed but it's hard to note the click of them being seated all the way under the latch. Note in the manual which END of the rail goes in FIRST, etc...
I've never had any leakage around the roof or anywhere else for that matter, even driving in rather torential rain on the highway and such.
I was actually impressed that the little bugger kept itself defogged very nicely on a day where my Mercedes SUV took a bit of effort to keep the side windows defogged. I had heard some comments on the previous models being a bit deficient in the defroster and A/C department... but I have to say that this Cabrio appears to operate just peachy, although I wouldn't mind having the fan be just a tad more quiet in the low speed range.
I have had my car through 2 carwashes so far. No leaks. They were the touchless type with basically jets of water and air and people hand scrubbing the car. The dealer told me to vacuum the water off the top, but it's been so hot the top was dry before they were finished with it.
oh my!!! I drove without the side rails a lot of times and I went through some torrential rains in VT this weekend and my little cabrio didnt leak a drop! Also in car washes - the touchless ones - she does fantastically. I am sorry to hear about your problem
Had mine since March with no problem with leakage. I've had the bars on and off and we've had some good downpours. Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order. I hope it's just a minor adjustment. Good luck!
