I've NEVER had this even cross my mind.
It's weird, I almost NEVER take the bars off.

Don't worry, most of 'em will die of dysentery on the way there.

I have never taken my bars off yet. You lose the ability to lower/raise the top while in motion, a really cool feature if you ask me !

I can't wait until the day I'm driving, and there is a big $$$ convertible behind me also with it's top down, and it begins to rain. I hit the "up" button and continue on, while the big $$$ convertible hits the highway sholder to raise his.

Plus, I'm concerned about the gaskets and such not making a good seal if I keep taking them off, leading to whistles and drips. I don't even know if this will happen, but as of right now I'm not taking chances.

The Oregon Trail is an educational computer game developed by Don Rawitsch, Bill Heinemann, and Paul Dillenberger in 1971 and produced by MECC in 1974. The game was inspired by the real-life Oregon Trail and was designed to teach school children about the realities of 19th century pioneer life on the trail. The player assumes the role of a wagon leader guiding his party of settlers from Independence, Missouri, to Oregon's Willamette Valley by way of the Oregon Trail via a Conestoga wagon in 1848.
Quote:
Throughout the course of the game, members of your party could fall ill and die from a variety of illnesses, such as measles, snakebite, dysentery, typhoid, cholera, exhaustion, and diarrhea. People could also die from drowning or a broken leg. Your oxen were also subject to illness and death. When one of your party members dies, a funeral is briefly held, after which you continue down the trail.
Quote:
The game was popular among North American elementary school students in the mid 1980s to early 1990s. Many students in the United States and Canada had access to the game at school.

I think I played Oregon Trail on my TI-99/4A computer. It was on a cartridge. Most of the early software for the TI-99/4A were on cartridges. This was many many years ago.

I drive with mine off all the time - and yes, once I had to stop and put them back on because it started raining. - sheureka (in Southeastern Arizona where it rains every afternoon this time of year)
