Cabrio Roll Bar

I see some cabrios with the rollbar covered all in rubber, and some chrome and rubber? Which is it suppose to be? I prefer the chrome and rubber myself....

hadn't seen the 'chrome and rubber' one, only the all black 'rubber' one. any pics of the 'chrome'?

Maybe it was part of the silver tridion? Doubt you can take it apart to chrome just the roll bar piece.

Here is a link that shows a picture on page 4. This is the same picture form the 2008 brochure I got at my dealer.... You can see the black cabrio has a chrome and black rollbar. I seem to remember a post here that some said it was wrapped in the black padding for shipping, and they had the dealer remove it... can't seam to find that post. I'll keep looking...

It's a European/Canadian vs. US model difference. The E/C cabrios have the 'split wrap with chromed center area' roll bar - the US cabrios have the roll bar wrapped all the way across with the black plastic. The other difference is in the outward ends of the black plastic wrap - the E/C version has little molded-in tabs that are used to attach the optional windscreen top mounts and the US version is sans tabs. oddly enough, when i 'configured' my future Cabriolet on the Smart site, the finished pic shows a 'split' roll bar. just didn't notice it until now.....weird.
