Can OEM security system be added?

I got a orphan that didn't come with secuirty system. I was wondering if this is something that can be ordered and installed by dealer. I asked the salesman and he had no idea and hadn't ever been asked. I was told it has a passive security (assume chip in the key) but would like more security and not aftermarket.

One word: no. Sorry!
You'll most likely will have to manage with the "passive" alarm you got: chip in fob/key, silent confirmation of lock/unlock, no siren-like alarm...

Several months back, someone got a 'pure' and wanted to add lots of options, including the OEM theft alarm. The car was gutted, the project costly, and we haven't heard from it since (if my memory doesn't play a trick on me). It must have been more expensive than getting a passion...
Bottom line: anything is possible, provided your pockets are as deep as your list of add-ons is long...

IMHO one would have plug in modules that would cost X amount of Dollars and then a reprogramming by the Dealer. Sounds simple and sensible doesn't it?
