Can you change your model when ordering?

I ordered a Passion however I'm rethinking I may only want a Pure. Is this something easily changed when you configure? If not I'll just stick to where I'm at on the list and buy the Passion

I reserved a s/s/g pure, confirmed/configured a w/s/r passion and got exactly what I asked for. The confirmation/configuration is the critical step, because once the car order is placed, that's what will come out of the plant in Hambach.
Now, the 09 will be introduced with some minor changes, and you may have been informed that, if it affects your configuration, you'll get a chance to re-configurate. Right?
You'll have fun, at the end...

not sure what you're talking about when you say you 'reserved' a particular model.

when i reserved, i only placed my name in the rotation and paid my $99. that was it. don't recall them asking me what model, options, etc.

while i've not configured yet, i'm under the impression that THIS is when you choose your actual model, color combo and options.

is this correct or am i just old, feeble and suffering from amnesia?

Your fine, It dosen't really matter what you ordered. When you get your config email that is when you can put exactly what you want into your order. Have no fear, but be perpared to wait..and wait......and wait.

They have you pick model, color and interior color when you plop your 99 down I was just wondering if any of that was set in stone. Seems its not. Thanks for the info folks

No problem with your reservation choice..

I reserved in April 2007 and picked the cabriolet. However, in December I received a request to configure my smart and at that point I opted for the passion. What I configured in December is what I got to pick up today.

So don't worry about what you reserved. You can change it when you are asked to confirm.

Ciao for now

I found the day I configured I was able to change it two times within a few hour period. After I configured it I drove over to the dealer and changed my mind on the color. I was so happy I was able to change it, but I don't know how many hours that window is open. Definately look at the options and colors in person before you configure. The website just doesn't give you the real experience.
