Canadian vs. US MPG Ratings

Are the emissions systems placed on the car the same for both countries? If not, this could make a difference.

Really? I'm getting 37/48, so the Canadian numbers are pretty much spot-on for me. I'm also not going over 60mpg much, and combine trips as much as I can, so that could affect it as well.
