cant accelerate

hi im new to the board ,just need some advice if anyone experence this type of problem with there car ...as i was driving on the highway for some time all of a sudden i dont have any acelleration at the foot pedel then the dash indicater starts flashing and i have to pull over turn off the car then start it back up and away i go again ,it does this once in a while not all the time and it scares the hell out of you cuz you think your gonna get stranded and stuck .so if some one knows the problem it will be a help for me to fix it and i apriciate it ...thanks..

The only time this kind of thing ever happened to me, I had accidently knocked the key. Moved the key back to the proper position while still moving and I was back to normal...

no ice it was dry road and and it will just cut off and then you will have to turn off the car and then start it up again and your back on the road

Dealer had mine

Mine started doing something similar to this so per Smart USA the dealer has mine now

get it to a dealer, or at least contact them about the problem so it is documented.

as for the dealer there,s none around my area that specilizes in these cars and i dont have a spare ride if i leave it there im sure it might be something simple
