Can't decide on Red exterior with Red Interior....too much?

Of all the millions of photos of smarts out there, I haven't seen a red exterior/red interior smart (blk tridion) to see if there is too much red on it.

Also, for those who have red interior on their smarts long enough, have you seen any signs of wear/discoloration of the red? I've seen this happen on other cars' interiors and bike seats. I am always careful not to make my car dirty (also have a Mazda 3 which I adore and am very anal in keeping it clean but it has black intereior) but was wondering if red will show 'driver wear' from every day sitting.

I have the red and red with black tridon and I still love it. Exterior is doing great. Interior the fabric can show stains if you have some teenagers and they spill their sodas on the seats (that was fun) but with a little mild soap and water you can get it back like new. It also doesn't help if a friend has an ink pen in their back pocket when they sit down to take a ride. I'm thinking about having the seats redone with leather someday and not letting anyone else inside.

I have the red/blk/red and I love it !!!

It is so "spicy" hee hee.

at dusk, the red exterior takes on a decidedly orange glow about it...

But since i am an Orioles fan that is fine by me!!!

I just got mine today and have the red/black red. It is really nice. The only others that would look good with the red interior would of course be black/black/red and the white/black with the red.

I don't think it's too much at all.

Beth

I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I ordered a red interior which should arrive in 1 or 2 weeks. But i have cancelled because too much red annoyes me sometime.

I know the tone is a little toward orange-red but it was still too red for my eyes.
To me:
Red= anger
Red= sexy , red lips etc..
Red= Fire
Red= Santa

So i cancelled mine and got the normal black interior. Someday i will change the interior to green+white since its a Crystal white with silver cell..
Mine will arrive in a month btw.
I can't wait

Your smart looks good smartypantz! You're right it's not too much to have red inside and out, coz both outside and inside there is black to offset it a bit. Now if I could only figure out how to keep the interior brand new for years, lol. When I got my Mazda 2 years ago, my son spilled soda on the seats the second day, and I thought I would have a stroke over it! lol. Then a friend of ours dropped his cigarette on the drivers seat and burned a whole in it. Eversince I have become insane with keeping the interior spotless.

I also have the red/silver/red combo. One of the first things I did was spray it down with scotch-guard. Next day my nephew spilled a soft drink on the seat, it cleaned up great. Money well spent.
I get many compliments on how expensive the red interior looks.

Good idea mike. I will do the same. Sometimes the dealers apply a stain repellent on the interiors (for a fee of course). I wonder if my dealer (smartusa in warwick RI) would do it.

Save yourself their exorbitant fees and go buy 2 cans of Scotch Guard. It's the same thing!
