Car Care Resource-if you love your fortwo!

There is discussion periodically on how to take care of your fortwo, so I thought I'd point out a great how-to resource. Some comments posted on the forum about car care have been well meant but not-so-hot ideas. Unless you plan to only run your car through a carwash periodically, I'd highly recommend picking up a copy of Griot's detail guide. It's well worth the reasonable price:

I have no financial interest, but have found that their products and customer service are top-notch. Other sources for great materials are Detailer's Paradise and Zaino's:

www.zainostore.com

All three companies are spoken of highly in the exotic car communities. I know that some will argue that the stuff sold at Pep Boys and Wal-Mart works just fine, but most people I know who have used high-end products will never go back. But at minimum, this book has tons of information in it.

Dont' forget Autopia forums - this is their how tos but there is also a lot more info to be had on the forums:

The thing is, really non of these cars are like the Smart with the clear-coated plastic panels adjacent to the powder coated tridion. Plus there is the polycarbonate roof and its coatings to consider.

Sure most products will work fine, and we know Plexus should be good on the roof, but it would seem that things like polishing might not be the same on the plastic. It's worth considering things and techniques might be different then what has been found to be best on other cars.
