I know that we're all getting exciting about the arrival of our babies. I'm starting to think about how I'm going to cover my little pup up at night. I'm sure that the dealer will have something available, but will it be available right away and how much are they going to cost...We don't know, do we? Anways, I contacted CarCoverUSA.com and they said that they should have a pattern number w/in the next few weeks. I'll be keen to see what they offer and how much it will be. Anybody else have a line on US suppliers?

24-42, is this a snug fit or will it still fit the large US model (I know, not much larger)?

I found it well fitted, but not sloppy. Very good elastic at the bottom of both front and rear. Underbody fasteners are vinyl covered for non-scratch. The material is like "Silver- Hypolon"
I also imagine that with the 451 lead in UK that they probably have a custom 451 already in production.

I suggest asking if they have sent 451 inventory to Texas yet.

I liked the way the cover locks onto the side mirrors and holds the cover on the car while in the process of folding and unfolding the cover. Otherwise it would want to slide off the car.
The carry case is not an afterthought, quality material and a long zipper. Flat, square, fits in the trunk (trunk?) well.

I forgot to mention that the price (incl. shipping) is lower than Covercraft. Delivery was about 8 days

The German version of the Smart Accessories Catalog shows what they refer to as the Cape Car Cover described as the portable garage for the fortwo. It is water-repellent but the description says nothing about breathability. There are no prices in this catalog, just descriptions and pictures.
