The Roads were mostly clear and at the worst wet, it is just one of those "Bridges freeze first" moments a bit early in the season.

When I hit my first bridge that day it really caught me off guard because where I was the roads were dry, but the bridges were another story

Up in this part of the country the Bridges freeze first is usually not something we give all that much thought. Usually everything is frozen before that first cold precipitation and once frozen it stays frozen, so the bridges are no different than the rest of the roads. This weekend just happened to be a really early cold snap with some snow. When I woke up the only signs of snow were on the cars. The roads were clear. I didn't think about the bridges until I hit one. Also, usually when this kind of thing hits here the crews are out salting or sanding the bridges. But once again it was to early in the season.

Yes, the roads were pretty much clear, especially in the right lane. We had come out of the falling snow quite a few miles earlier, and the clouds had thinned out. It was exactly the "bridges freeze first" syndrome. And, like I said in the original post, I was stupid for not realizing the potential freeze in the first place.
I hope the post about the esp being intrusive was sarcasm....

The posts on the topic to this point have been girl/boy racers whining about the fact they could not turn it off. Dripping I hope.
Do you have the EPS?

Watch for the winter driving/Smart on snow questions and link them back to your post. Also, those who want to disconnect the safety features. My systems have been quiet - a little stability control starting from a stop sign on ice - but it's great to know they work as advertised when you do have those "oh crap" moments.
