Car wouldn't start... and then did

Dang. That was a mistake: I meant P rather than D.

As for coasting in N with the engine off: I only did it when approaching a light or other lengthy stop. The point was to save gas, and it did that just fine, tho not significantly.

Normally, the car starts in either N or P.

Anyway, since it's apparently causing problems now and may cause the car's early demise, I'll desist. It kills me wasting gas when not moving, but the alternatives might be worse, so I'll grin and bear it.

Worth noting: my car already has 36,000 miles on it in just under a year.
