Cargo Space Size?

Hey All,
Does anyone know the size, dimensions of the cargo space behind the seats?
I realize that there is luggage made especially for this space, but wondering how many groceries, or if my dogs will fit comfortably.

The smart has approximately 8 cu. ft. of cargo space behind the seats up to the beltline and 12 cu. ft. up to the roof. (That is only approximately 2.5 cu ft. less than a Camry.) Here are a couple pictures from our training in San Diego. (Excuse the low quality, they were taken with my cell phone)

6 grocery bags is what I keep seeing; no idea how big the bags are, paper or plastic, etc. And yes, you can load it to the roof line if you don't mind having the rear window blocked - not wise IMO.

SJ: Iv'e seen pix with dogs in the "boot" of a Smart.

Golf Clubs, Golf Clubs...Two bags Full. Well you may have to pull the drivers out and just lay them in the boot. (But that may have been only with the Cab).

We checked this out before we placed our Smart order as wife is avid golfer.
