My car was discharged from the Independence II at Baltimore last Tuesday, 10 June. However, it was not until Thursday that the WW cargo tracking tool actually indicated the “discharged” status of the car. The ship travel indicators, on the other hand, are updated very close to the actual times. I have read that the car status delay is common for the WW site.
Since the Fidelio has already sailed from Baltimore, you can be sure that all of the smart cars were unloaded.
I found, to my displeasure, that the cars are not all moved by truck to the dealers simultaneously. A truck-load of smarts arrived at my dealership on Saturday evening, but mine was not amongst them. It is supposedly due on the next truck, in the next few days. The dealers never know when the trucks are scheduled to arrive.
The speed at which your smart gets to the dealer depends upon its place in the trucking queue.
