from the dealer. According to my dealer, they get a (monthly/weekly?) list of cars due to be delivered. Some have VINs, while others do not yet. Mine did not, however the following week they supplied me with it, so I don't know if my VIN appeared on their next list, or if they found it some other way.

And it had shown up on vesseltracker yesterday as being south of Long Island, but now it says its out of range?
It seems that nothing is showing up on the google earth application in the Baltimore area.

Hmm.... The boat is docked. I just checked the schedule and before there was only one scheduled stop in Baltimore. Now there is two, and the second stop is in red which means it had already left. The status of the Vin hasnt updated. So.... I'm just confused.

My car was discharged from the Independence II at Baltimore last Tuesday, 10 June. However, it was not until Thursday that the WW cargo tracking tool actually indicated the “discharged” status of the car. The ship travel indicators, on the other hand, are updated very close to the actual times. I have read that the car status delay is common for the WW site.

Since the Fidelio has already sailed from Baltimore, you can be sure that all of the smart cars were unloaded.

I found, to my displeasure, that the cars are not all moved by truck to the dealers simultaneously. A truck-load of smarts arrived at my dealership on Saturday evening, but mine was not amongst them. It is supposedly due on the next truck, in the next few days. The dealers never know when the trucks are scheduled to arrive.

The speed at which your smart gets to the dealer depends upon its place in the trucking queue.
