Can anyone confirm that tracking is working correctly?

An 1173 here. I received my call from smart center Sacramento on Fri., January 11th with the usual "delivery in 30 days" info. I've consistently checked the WWL link since then but my VIN (WMEEK31X38K099539) has never generated any shipping information. Concerned, I called my dealer today and he assures me the car's delivery is still on schedule for mid-February. How can this be? Can anyone (West Coast or otherwise) confirm that our current VINs are working as SPDickey's original post describes? Patiently waiting for our baby to arrive...

Answering my own question!

I just found that on 2/2/08 SPDickey updated his original post with the following caveat:

"IMPORTANT UPDATE
Cargo tracking only applies to cars arriving at the Port of Baltimore via WWL ships. smarts also land at Jacksonville, Florida and Long Beach, California via different carriers. Tracking for these ports has not yet been located."

So, in the absence of a tracking site for cars coming to the West Coast, my dealer's reassurance of a mid-Feb. delivery is very encouraging!

WAS working fine.
I got a look at the map and tried to locate the ship and I'm stumped.

There's a lot of boats out there!

Medea seems to be with CMA CGM, but that isn't the ship that's scheduled for Bremerhaven to Baltimore.

If anyone who knows how to do this is bored, my VIN is:
WMEEJ31X58K106901
and this should among next shipment from all the confirmations around 2/1/08.

What am I doing wrong?

This is very unimportant but fascinating just the same.

If my car is scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on Feb 16th (sailing on the vessel COURAGE), how long will it take to be transported to NY (Long Island, Nassau County) and prepped by the dealer. In short, what is a realistic time frame in which to expect the car can actually be in my hands?

So, next I went to AISLive and looked for the boat - had no luck.

Couldn't see the Medea anywhere.
So I went to the website of the owner of the ship, which I think is CMA CGM, and it had no record of this trip.

So that's where I'm having trouble, I want to see if I can see the little arrow scoot around the water.

I got all of the info I posted here: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do
Click on the link to auto cargo on the right, and put in your vin#. You can then look at the schedules to see when the ship will arrive in the port.

The Medea left SOuthhampton great Britian today and will be arriving in Baltimore on the 17th. According to my Brand Specialist, Linda, the hold up can be on when they decide to truck them to the dealerships. I was expecting mine maybe on the 23rd. I hope so.

Another ship carrying the cars is COURAGE. It is due to arrive in Baltimore on the 16th. If you have google earth you can install a vessel tracker to see where your ship is (with up to 24 hours delay).

here is the link
http://www.vesseltracker.com/en/Googleearth.html

Also hoping to pick mine up on either the 23rd or the 1st.
