I bet it's from us reporting it just now. I find it too coincidental that after we start reporting it it gets removed.

OK, that's good, but for next time what menu option is appropriate for reporting Smarts that are incorrectly listed or Smart reservations that are unethically listed?

For incorrect listings (e.g., incorrectly calling the car a Passion), the best menu selections are probably:

1) Listing policy violation
2) Keyword spamming ("Pure" and "Passion" are considered keywords)
3) Inappropriate or excessive use of terms not relevant to the item

For listing a smart reservation (arguably an options contract with smart):

1) Prohibited (banned items)
2) Other prohibited (banned items)
3) Other prohibited items

According to ebay:

Sellers should avoid listing an item which the seller is not permitted to sell due to contractual obligations entered into with a third party.

Earlier this year on eBay there were two or three guys advertising multiple smarts for sale - all the same color, same VIN, same mileage (0) same low Buy-It-Now price (too low) - I tried to report it but ran into problems as well. I checked the vendor ID and it looked like a real account, but I think that the ID had been hijacked.
Later I checked and found that two of the listings had been stopped, but one other looked like it had completed. I can't help but wonder how many folks got ripped off . . .
Anyone out there try to buy a smart off eBay listed in the Las Vegas area?
