Chicagoland Smarts

Since taking delivery of my Cabrio on 4/11, I have driven it every day, mostly around the western suburbs, but not exclusively. I have yet to encounter a single smart on the road.

Where are all those smart drivers of Chicago to be found????

We are waiting to get our SMArts.. This is crazy waiting this long!!!!!!! DDE indicates Oct. 08 - Dec. 08. Getting Cabrio in the middle of Chicago winter SUCKS!!!!

There are a bunch of them in NW Indiana. After nearly 14 months I got my VIN number today, so in a month or so there will be one more in Chicagoland!

In the past 2 weeks. I saw 3 on the roads. One yellow one at Schaumburg. I saw the other 2(1 black, 1 silver) while driving to Lincolnwood smart center for a test drive last week.

I am in Bartlett, you are close to where I live.

From you user name. Are you into RC helicopter or real helicopter? just wondering

We've been out on a trip for the last month, so are probably out of visual range ...

We spotted four or five Smarts so far, mostly near Washington DC. I saw a black Pure out on I-65 going south in Indiana a while back. I saw the same one pass our motorcoach several times. Apparently the new owner was either having bladder problems or had a hole in his fuel tank...
Our Cabrio was doing about 70MPH and using ZERO fuel at the time, and staying well hidden in the coach's garage so the pesky yankee revenuers couldn't tax me whilst underway...

The yellow/silver one you saw in Schaumburg was probably me. I live in Carol Stream and go to Schaumburg frequently.

As to your second question, I fly the real thing, including the Bell 222 pictured to the left, which also happens to be among my top 3 favorites.
