Choosing Color :/

I know I want the black cloth interior and the silver tridion cell, but I just can't choose between metallic red or black

Can anyone with those color combinations give me their pro's/con's. Like how they shine in the sun, visibility to dirt and such, or just why you choose these colors or any other color for that matter. What were your reasons for choosing the colors that you did?

There seems to be some controversy about that red.

I chose the black leather interior with the silver tridion and the red metallic. I've seen the regular red and it has an orange tint. The red metallic looks more like a true red. I've seen a metallic blue in a showroom and the metallic seems nice and not overpowering. My thought was that the red/silver would make the car more visible on the road for safety plus I rather like red cars. The ability to show dirt didn't enter into it for me.

It's really not red. It's tomato orange. Or ladybug red. Some of my friends call it spaghetti red. I like it myself, but to call it red is not correct. Black is gonna show every spot of dirt that crosses your path (I know because I had a black car once and swore I would never do that again). I suggest you go "red" over black, but no matter what you pick you can always change it later.

Belleveu, there is only one red offered. The "regular red" as you call it is the metallic red. Yes, I know it appears non-metallic but if you get close in the sun, it is metallic. Orange looking metallic, but still metallic. Your post make sit sound like you believe there are two different reds. I have seen a true red online but I think that was on the 450's.

Red is more eye catching.
Black will show dirt less.
Black is the color of the plastic panel.
Red is painted over a black panel.
Red is really an off red kind of tomato or orangish red. Though the 451 is closer to red than the road show cars red.
Some say black attracts and holds more heat than any other color but other studies shows that red does. Depends on who ya wnat to listen to I guess.

thanks for the responses, i think what Angel said is right about the red being more eye catching, and seeing as i live somewhere where there's only two temperatures, REALLY HOT or just hot, that could be the black's downside for me, but obviously not everyone else. i love the red in pictures when theres no sun out and it looks really dark red but i have heard that the light makes it look almost orangey, so i may just make the 4 hr drive to see a red in person

Black is classy, and black and silver is even classier. Of course this is what I have, and I love it. My favorite color is red, but I don't know, it just didn't appeal to me as much. I also have the black leather, which I think looks way better than the designer cloth.

I have a picture of a red one in my gallery. Not sure if that will help your decision making process or not.
