Choosing a dealership

Got my configuration e-mail today. Went to the site and got to where it lists my dealer. It's out of state. Gave me the option to pick three other dealerships, all were also out of state and farther away than the Devon, PA dealer I would prefer. Is there any wiggle room with dealerships if I call 1-800 SmartUSA? Still not sure if I will go through with the order and create an orphan anyway. My DDE keeps moving up and I dont want an 09. Thought about cancelling, waiting a month or two, the putting in a new reservation. Hopefully, just in time to get a 2010 MHD!

I am not sure if it is will apply to you, but some members reported that some dealerships refused to sell car to out of state customers.

I actually have an orphan I got from out of state in NJ. (props to Edison Smart for selling it to me) The dealership listed as my preferred dealer is Germantown MD. Not that I have anything against them, its a beautiful dealership but by buying out of state, I have to pay to have the safety and emissions inspections done when I register it here. Not a huge deal but I plan on having Devon Smart do my service so why not give them the business or the orphan.
