Clock and Tach

Is this something that I can put on my car myself? Are there any web sites where I can buy the clock and tach, and any web sites that would be any help on adding them to my car. Thanks Brookville, Ohio

Yes, you can install them yourself. There is a website that gives a good detailed explanation with photos to help step you along. That website is Evilution - Smart Car Encyclopaedia (listed under section "Electrical" sub-section "Dash Pods 451." You can purchase these from such sources as SmartMadness.com in their store listed under the heading of "Genuine Smart Car Parts", "Interior", on "Page 3 of 4" top item described as "Smart Car Instrument Pods - Genuine Smart part" for $249.99. I hope this helps you any.

You can save some bucks by ordering them here:
Smart Parts Direct Limited Interior cabin

Their 122 Euro price works out to around $165 or so but the 32 Euro shipping and handling push that up to about $206 . . . still a bit of savings. But a longer delivery time, too.
Check eBay too, sometimes there is a listing for them . . . currently smarttampa has one at auction.

If I already have the OEM pods, can I easily swap out the clock for an oil pressure guage?

I doubt it would be a plug and play but I'm sure it could be done. Just have to find the right gauge to match, and wire it in, add a sensor on the oil system etc.

You might want to just add a ScangaugeII, I think I saw instructions for adding it in a pod on Evilution site.

Anyone know if there is just a tach that can be added? Since there is already a clock in the cluster I don't see a need for redundant clocks. (I usally don't care what time it is anyhow)

you have to buy the set but its easy to take the clock off and just install the tach. done it before for customers

http://scp-parts.com/index.php/smartoem

i have the tach and clock and the trim rings. you can use scoa5 in the discount code bar and get 5% off.
clock rings and shipping after teh discount ends up being just under 267.

and yes the are entirely plug and play. how ever you do hve to notch the center trim panel.
