I thought this same thing, but as time goes by I notice I DO use the pod clock and NOT the instrument clock (it's harder for these old eyes to see that one anyway)

i have the tach and clock and the trim rings. you can use scoa5 in the discount code bar and get 5% off.
clock rings and shipping after teh discount ends up being just under 267.

and yes the are entirely plug and play. how ever you do hve to notch the center trim panel.
Yes but I would still be paying $250 just to get the tach, seems kinda of pricy for just a tach, and if the wiring is already there then I will just wait until some one comes up with an after market tach for the smart.

I'm surprised I use the clock as much as I do - it's great to be able to see the time even when the car is off. And when I travel to different time zones I change the pod clock (easy) and leave the cluster clock (big pain) at my home time. - sheureka

I think it is patently unfair to do business by 'matching' others vendors better every-day prices.
Not so much unfair to the other vendor, but totally unfair to any customer who has bought off you at LIST or full price. If I bought one at $250,only to find out the next guy only paid $ 220 because of 'matching' , I would be totally pissed off, and either ask for a refund or never buy from that vendor again
just put up your best price and honour it ! Only fair to the customers.....

So your saying that folks shouldn't shop around for the best price???

Or if you buy something or find something at a better price, don't tell anyone, they don't need to know.

Lot of companies do price matching, nothing wrong with it. People have the right to shop around it's their cash....
