Just got off the phone with my local dealer. I noticed my DDE has stayed the same for a while now and was wondering if I could get a VIN. I was told it was a pending VIN and that I was suppose to get my car in late January, early February. I was not told why but it got pushed back a month.

I at least have a build date of 26 Jan 09 and a delivery date of 07 Mar 09.

Does anyone remember that commercial, "Anticipation...Anticipation is making me wait...", I don't recall what product it was for but remember it in my youth.

I finally got tired of waiting for my smart, and found an orphan virtually identical to my configuration this weekend.

I couldn't handle it either...fortunately my dealer had an orphan with exactly the same options I wanted available. Now that I have had a smart for a couple weeks now, it was really worth waiting for. Fun car.
