I've got no problem with any of those cars, and happen to own one of them. Why get exercised just because smart isn't on the list?

but if u are going to show alternatives to hybrids why not show the best mpg cars available? I mean they put a corvette, wtf? I guess the hummer is an alternative too.. it should have read more like this: Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, Chevy Aveo, Smart, VW rabbit and if you want a "real Vespa" you have to look at the Genuine "Stella" scooter, it's more like a vespa than vespa these and the company is located in Chicago

Interesting comment:

I discovered a new concern, however, while heading home up a 20%-grade hill. Halfway up, even in manual first gear, the Smart stalled, unable to limp the final 20 feet. I had to gingerly reverse, stacking up traffic in both directions. But for all other normal driving (including highway - it actually felt better the faster it went, all the way up to 80 mph), the overall package is delightful.

NEVER heard of this stall anywhere before. Looks like this guy needs to learn how to drive a car without stalling.
