Compact Air Horn on Sale at Northern Tools

It's a Wolo "Bad Boy" - looks just like the Stebel I put on my car. They were on sale for $29.99 if you live in a big city that has a Northern Tools you can pick on up. Here is a link but it doesn't mention the sale price - I didn't check the rest of the site to see how long it'll be on sale.

The page that comes up on your link shows $39.99, the sale must be over.

I got a Stebel Nautilus yesterday, and it says its output is 139dB, whereas the Wolo claims just 118.

I paid $49.88 at Advanced Auto. But the pic of the Wolo sure looks like mine... Don't know!

The Stebel is loud. I had to cut a little into the wheel well liner to make it fit, but it fits nicely, points downward as instructed, and blairs out some hair-raising sound instantly.

Do you still have the package for the Stebel? Look at the dB rating. It says 139dB at 4 inches. Doesn't it mention something else? I can't quite remember what other dB ratings are there.

Thanks Smart Enuf! Cool!

Haven't got it installed yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
I SAID I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!! Ha!

I have one on my Honda CRX (my Rodney Dangerfield car), and it solves the respect problem! Only had my Smart a month, and so far, no one has pulled out in front of me. Oh, but when they do... I'll "remind" them to pay attention!

It says >115 dB at 2 meters from the source. http://www.stebel.it/stebel/NAUTILUS.pdf

Still plenty loud. I've made 6-feet tall, grown men jump with a honk. I figured since my smart key suffers from Napoleonic Syndrome, my honker might as well overcompensate, too.

I thought it said something like that. That's what was making me think the Bad Boy is another repackage. The Stebel you got from Advance is FIIAA? or something similar to that name. I know it has those letters.

I picked up my Stebel from Advance too - got it for a bit of a good discount as I may be a future employee so they normally hook me up with an employee discount. No cutting required for the install BUT the horn is point the "wrong" direction. You can still hear it either way.

Actually, I got mine off ebay. I figured there are loud and obnoxious people on ebay, so their horns are probably noticeable, too.
