Months ago I started a thread wondering how many times people had changed their mind about color. Now the time has come and I have reconfigured twice in the last 12 hours.
Color: White or Blue?
Originally, I reserved with white with the black tridon but I think the silver looks overall best with the rest of the colors (if I ever swap panels). I was also thinking white would be easier because it would live outside; but at five feet wide, it should fit the garage with virtually no rearranging. I've read that white may be greener but this seems to uncertain. Various folks (and the smart center) say that they are both color impregnated plastic. From my childhood, I hear the voice over saying "Collect them all!"
Fog Lights?
I've had them in many cars and have never used them. Can they be installed after the fact at the dealer? If so, anyone have an idea of what the damage would be.
Originally, the idea of coming in at just under $15,000 was very appealing for bragging rights; but when it comes down to it, I'm now half $K over that and I'll probably do easily do another $500 to over $1K in accessories (with bluetooth handsfree or if I get aftermarket nav). Then I could be looking at $16.5 to pushing $17. I think the bragging rights for price are off at this point.
So please help me and Smart out here. I'm bound to drive them crazy.
If you read other threads, you'll learn that added frogs cannot yet be programmed to work as intended.
As for the color panels, only white, black and yellow are solid, whereas blue, red and silver are black panels painted over...
They do help in the fog...but I also use them on my Midnight Blue Miata to help the brain-dead SoCal freeway drivers notice my car in on the road in the early morning or evenings while they are reading the paper, putting on makeup, shaving, talking on their cellphones, spilling their lattes, texting on their blackberries, eating dinner... LOL It seems to help with the "on the freeway" iq drop seen so frequently around here.

Thanks JPaul, I didn't know that! glad I picked black... LOL

Don't feel bad, I have changed the color 3 times myself... ;) I finally went with "fully loaded" and a classy color, black with silver tridion so it looks like a baby benz... LOL You can always change the panels down the road... LOL...
First pick was a black with silver tridion Passion. I changed to white/ silver Cabriolet. First black cloth then beige cloth then leather. I think that the Cabrio will have better resale down the road. Plus I can say I have the lowest price convertible on the market. How about that for random thoughts?
