We own 3 cabrios: two smarts and a Benz. We find that we only drop the top in the AZ and CA winters or after dark in the spring and fall. Just put the seat heaters on and turn up the hot air and enjoy open top motoring! They are just the thing to clear the head after a nice long dinner with friends and to enjoy a cruise home....

I can't imagine why anyone would want to bake in the sun on a 100 degree day. Heck, I can't see doing it on an 80 degree day! Now a crisp fall day is a different story....but we don't have too many of them here in the Southwest.

Cabrio all the way. Where else can you get a brand new convertible for $18K? Sets it apart from other small cars that aren't offered as convertibles. It's a very good convertible, low wind buffeting and you can open the top part of the top while driving like a sunroof (how many convertibles allow that?).

I have a passion coupe, I didn't consider the convertible because I think about the possiblility of car jackers or thieves or someone having a rage fit doing a "Psycho" Bates motel number on the cloth part of the roof!!! I guess I'm just a wuss! Nothing even close to those things have ever happened to me!

I just feel safer in any car with a hard top (falling rocks you know! Ha Ha) Geez, I sound like someone with ALOT of unfounded worry issues! I'm not REALLY!!!!

However, I can understand the open air feeling you would get, I just open both my windows (until I see someone suspicious lurking around!!)

If you're a convertible kind of person...get it it will be fun no matter which style you choose!

Cab all the way. The availability of the cab was my prime reason for ordering Charley. I've always loved ragtops. The only time the top is up is if it's raining or aver 110., (and of course parked).

Cabriolets are like martinis … they are an acquired taste and I love both!

My previous convertibles included:

Oldsmobile Cutlass
Chevrolet Camero
Ford Mustang
Volkswagen

My Silver/black smart cabriolet is a very fun car. It attracts more attention than any of the others I have owned. Two features I really adore are being able to open the top remotely with the fob and being able to open or close the top while traveling down the Interstate at 75 MPH.

Acquire the taste and get the rag top!
