Cost to insure the Smart. Higher/Lower?

How does the Smart compare to other vehicles when it comes to insurance? I know when we had our 02 GMC Envoy it was fairly cheap to insure. We sold it and replaced it with a 04 Chevy Cavalier and to my surprise it cost more to insure.

I just got mine covered and with a pretty good policy with full coverage since I have a loan on it mine is about $600 /6 months, I also just got an OWI about a year ago so that may have hike my rate a little bit, but I think I was paying about the same on my old car.

My '02 VW TDI was about $110/month through ESurance, and that was with a very stripped down policy (I live in San Francisco, where insurance is expensive). When I got my smart it went down to $87/month with AAA, and with a much more comprehensive policy.
