Dealer Cancelation List

I would suggest getting on your local dealer cancelation list if you are flexible and really want to possibly cut down your wait time. I placed my $99 reservation two weeks ago and then visited several local dealers and got my name on their lists. Yesterday I got a call and they had exactly what I wanted come in but the original purchaser cancelled. So they stuck in a Pioneer touch screen radio/nav system, powder coated the wheels black, added on about three grand to the MSRP and offered it for sale. I took it!

Not sure I want to cut down my wait time for $3K; lots of people seem willing to do that though.

yeah, if you're going for a stripped down pure like I am that's a pretty tough sale. they couldn't even get me to go extra for the floor mats ;-).

yeah, but pitstop has a cl63, so a couple of extra grand isn't a reason for concern...

Man! You could BUY my Pure with about 4 of the payments on THAT Benz!
A car isn't a status symbol, ego trip or compensation piece to me ( not that it IS to you, Pitstop), but I'm in Mensa, have an aerospace job, am in a working Rock band, and a videographer in my 'spare time', yet, glance to the left and see what I drive. =D
In Mobile, my bumblebee will be an economical second car. The 'rare, conversation piece' thing is just a cool bonus.

I got a dealer cancelation also

No radio or cruise control. I am using it for work. I will be getting it wrapped and I have even bought a trailer that will be wrapped like the car.

To me every car I have ever had is a tool. It is a tool I use to go back and forth to work. This one will be to market my business. I will put a radio and cruise control because it makes it better for the person driving the car.

I had a marketing plan based on this car so I am glad I was able to get one before they were to common place.

I wouldn't want a bunch of extra add ons either. That's why I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I will get the car I ordered before I find an orphan that I would be willing to accept...
