How about leaving the dealer badge and adding some words of your own above. Something like "I got screwed at", "For a bendover deal go to", "The rip-off dealer", "I don't recommend", or some other much more uncomplimentary words.

Hah, that's a funny idea It'd be tempting if I could stand leaving any badging on - any plates or whatnot come right off.
I would be pissed as hell if a dealer actually defaced the car by painting on it and would somehow have them remove that or swap cars. At least the Smart car's panels can be changed out ;)
Luckily that practice never made it to California. Only license plate frames here. Actually smart center Beverly Hills looks pretty nice on my little smart.

My dealer didn't put a sticker on mine. Just a license plate frame. They didn't drill the front bumper either. I was happy with their preparation. Oh, this is the Tulsa dealership.
Hey - has anyone told their dealership "not" to badge their smart? I did! Unfortunately Ray Catena Motors (aka smart center Edison) has a hideous dealership badge in the shape of a large circle which I told them not to stick on the rear of my car. I can't believe they put that ugly thing on all their luxury cars!!!
It's bad enough that they have a license plate holder advertising their dealership. But happily when I take delivery, Danny said he would swap out their plate holder for my custom one.
Thanks for bringing that up, I'll add this my list of things to tell my dealer when someday, I get my call
Like everything else I don't think there is a standard here. The only thing Orlando may have done right was no badge or markings and no license plate frame. This was likely because they hadn't recieved those things yet but either way I am happy not to have either!
