dealership having problems with a/c problem

My smart has a interment problem with the a/c heater blower not coming on. Seams to come on sometimes as when i hit a bump.

Took it into the dealership about a week ago. They ordered the parts to replace the a/c control unit. They replaced the part on Wed sept. 23. After picking up the car, I discovered it was not fixed. Took the car back in on friday Sept 25. The dealership called on friday and said they had run thier test, and cant find the problem. They are having a engineer from Smart call them, and the engineer will run more test on his end.

Not a rant or complaining just posting what is going on.

update

Dealership called today. Smart has told them to replace the ac/heater control unit again, and the smart engineers want to look at the car on the puter again. They are supposed to be doing that tuesday oct 29th.

I truly wonder just how well trained the dealers smart mechanics are.. I know allot of issues are solved from experience and that is a luxury on a new brand but come on! we always feel like the guinea pigs.. give us a 100k warranty until you guys get good enough to actually work on the cars from experience.

David. Smart knows their air con is a can of worms. Many of the Canadian units failed early.

This is only the 2nd summer for most of our cars, and already we see failures.

Stay on top of your dealer to get a fix but most auto dealers can't fix them.

Perhaps a referral to a real auto AC house is in order. A2Jack

I just had the same thing start with my smart, once in a while I get in and the blower won't work. Drive a couple of miles and then it will come on. Dealer told me they have had a couple of these, and it's usually the fan regulator $48 from the the dealership. I've got 37K, so I'm out of warranty. This same issue has been posted elsewhere here, just can't find it at the moment.

Found it:

I have this same issue. Made an appointment today for Wednesday. I will be sure to tell them what they did to fix yours.

Thanks for the info.
