they most likely never saw the big yellow trailer with lucy and ricky.

thats the brainless attitude of the govt stepping in and the public not know when enough is enough.
my smart tows my trailer just fine and my trailer is only 1/2 the size of the car.

Seeing a trailer that is both larger and higher than the vehicle towing it, is a definite concern, Urquhart said.
So by this argument, pickup trucks should be limited to hauling trailers that are smaller than the pickup?!

Whatever.

Not to mention Semis. That would put a real pinch on commerce!

From one of the comments ...

2 people can lift that car of the ground completly
Two people who can each lift over 900 pounds. Ignorance runs amuck.

I've tried to Google up an image of the rig in question, no luck.

Go ahead, John, register and post a comment ... you know you want to.

without information as to the size and weight of the trailer, it is hard to give an opinion.

I guess they do not consider the trailers that are lighter and smaller than the Smart; such as motorcycle trailers and campers. They should check out this site, this forum and the towing section before making any more statements about Smarts.

Canadians are free to safely drive any Transport Canada-approved trailer with any tow vehicle they like.

Period. Point Finis.
