Discontinuing the 2008 Yellow

I went to the smart center Chandler AZ and the parts guy told me that the 2008 yellow smarts are being discontinued. He said he couldn't even get replacement yellow panels! Why so soon? I have a yellow 2008 smart coupe and I absolutely love the shade of yellow. It is so unique and bright.

That's hard to believe. It is one of the most unique colors that really makes the Smartie stand out! I had planned on getting a yellow one but haven't configured my 1394 reservation yet. I already have a red orphan.

This is a bad mistake. VW has two yellows and we haven't even have one. What a shame and a disappointment.

When I was in Germany, Smarts were in all funky colors... Why not here?

Picking up my yellow/silver Cabrio today. Nice to know that it has already become a collectors item and before I picked it up at that.

That's sad. I'm glad I got my yellow. I hope they don't do what MINI did by coming out with a mellow yellow that's more like school bus yellow

I certainly hope they fill the orders for the yellow cars that were made last year. I ordered yellow in May 2007, confirmed Jan 2, 2008.
