Discontinuing the 2008 Yellow

Drat. We wanted to order yellow for our second Smart. I find it hard to believe you won't be able to order the yellow panels for awhile. How are the existing yellow owners going to repair their cars if they get hit?

My reservation is also for a yellow/black cabriolet, and I don't want any other color combination. Do I ask for my $99 deposit back now?

If your heart is really set on yellow it might be worth the gamble to order some yellow panels now and then change color when your car comes in and sell your other color panels. I'm thinking about ordering some panels today.

I believe its just a year to year thing. Dodge did it with the vipers too. Some years just have different colors available. You watch, for the 2010 model year they will again offer yellow.

udevl...the part about 09 not offering yellow is probably true

dealer can't get yellow replacement panels is probably bogus... or should be modified to say "right now" because they are back ordered...

RIght now I would assume the manufacture is holding yellow panels to complete orders, Replacement panels will come but only after orders are filled. (my guess)

are they nuts !!!!! why would you discontinue the most visible color you have, with the yellow you can forget to turn on your lights and not worry that people will see you,, have you ever wondered why a school bus is yellow,, agguhh
