Do you Live in central VA????

Hello guys,
Just wondering if there are any Smart owners or soon to be owners in Central Va?
I hope to have my Smart by fall, I would LOVE to get a smart group together and ride the parkway this fall, plus I would love to get a group together once a month for dinner out or something. Has anyone heard of a group here in central VA??
thanks
~Sue

Sue,

During a period when SCOA was reluctant to set aside a Mid-Atlantic Region, I set-up: mid-atlantic_smarts : Mid-Atlantic smarts . It is still there, but laying a bit fallow waiting for more population.

I have become very busy with another international yachting site that I own and moderate. If you, or any one of the other present members, want to take ownership of "MIDLANT smarts" (absolutely free except for your personal time) and do with it what you will, let me know via MIDLANT smarts.

I live in Richmond, VA and haven't seen a single one on the roads. Saw my first SmartCar in Canada last Fall--- love at first sight. I'd like to have one that is a solid color without the black or silver bit behind the door--- is it my imagination or have I seen solid SmartCars depicted somewhere? My only qualm is maintenance and repairs--- I'm far away from all the major auto dealers and don't want to drive 15 miles for maintenance. I can walk to my current mechanic who is awesome (what's not awesome is my trustworthy and much loved but gas guzzling vintage Chevy pickup). Congrats to all you new owners....hope my time will come to own one....

I'm in Troutville, VA, about 18 miles north of Roanoke. My delivery is scheduled for January to March 2009. I finally saw my first fortwo in Roanoke today on a dead end side street - Way off the beaten path. I saw my first fortwo "in the wild" in Orbisonia, PA which is a very small town with one stop light. The nearest Walmart was probably 50 miles away! I can't wait for my little guy to arrive! Thanks, Richard

I live in Fredericksburg, VA. Aside from mine, there are very few on the roads here although I did get to flash a yellow & black Smart last weekend. Only the second one I've seen in town.
