Dock to Dealer

Has anyone figured out how to track the shipments from dock to dealer?
My car was supposed to arrive on the 2008.11.08 but did not.
I was wondering why? What would set it back?
My DDE did shift 3 days.
The suspense is killing me.

I wouldn't think it's possible, since God only knows where the car carriers are going, what other deliveries they have to make, etc.,.

liquidfunk, you and I are in the same boat (or tranport truck, as the case may be). I've given up being over-excited about my pending delivery - it'll get here when it gets here.

My dealer today told me they are usually invoiced from Smart USA 48 hours before the car arrives at the dealership. As of this afternoon - no invoice.

That's okay - I had been thinking it would be kind of cool to be one of the very first in the country to take delivery of an '09. Now, I'm just glad my delivery is days or weeks away - as opposed to months away.

Same issue with me - My boat (Sierra Nevada Highway) arrived in Baltimore on 11/3. How long does it take to get from Baltimore to NJ? My dealer has no updated info.

Don't want to dampen spirits - I want mine like the rest - I understand that the first delivery of '08s was delayed in Canada for over a month due to some parts that needed to be corrected before customers could take delivery. The cars sat at the vehicle processing center in Halifax for a month!

I'll soon be in the same situation. My car is on the Patriot that is due into Baltimore on Wed, the 12th. How long to get the car up to Philly ( really Devon )? Soooooo close but sooooo far away.

My dealer (Rallye- Roslyn, NY) told me.
“After it arrives we need to prep it and file some paperwork. The paperwork takes two days.”

There is a way, but I doubt you could do it. You must first find out what company they are using to transport your car. Once you find that out, you need to call the company and find out how to get in touch with the dispatcher. When you get with the dispatcher, they can track the truck by GPS.

Thats all you need to do!
