Does the feeling ever wane? (A drive just for the fun of it)

I waited 12 years since first experiencing a smart before I had the honor of owning one.

Two months into ownership, and I find myself seeking to drive some place. Anyplace. As I walk to my office, I don't have the daily commute to suffice my appetite to drive. I find that I actually yearn to:
  • Go to my Dentist appointment (who wants to ever do this?)
  • Go to the grocery store (I never shop!)
  • Find excuses to take my wife out to dinner (beyond our 2 mile radius we walk, not drive)
  • Go to track workouts
  • Visit my in-laws an hour away!!!
Should I seek professional help at some point?

What do you do for an excuse to drive your smart?

Oh, my - you have caught it bad, haven't you? A dentist visit???
Actually, I use most of your excuses to drive Lil Red, but haven't used the dentist one . . . yet~!
But: -forgot the hamburger buns - off to the store!
-need to pick up wife's medicine - off to the pharmacy!
-want to check on the price of oil at Walmart - you got it - off to the store!
Oh, it will get better alright - you'll think of more things to drive to . . .

At least you dont have to get in line to drive yours!

And my 14 year old is chomping at the bit!

I bought my smart roadster in June 2004, and I still really love driving it, we had a lovely trip up to York today in it, no, not New York, the proper York in Yorkshire, England.
Must be the best car ever for the biggest smile for your bucks

A week shy of 16 months ownership, 35K miles, and I still look for excuses to go for a drive. The more I drive it the more I love it. Now I'm to the point I'm looking at more mod's to increase the fun factor even more!
