Oh yeah-- I don't drive a lot, but I drive Ruby a heck of a lot more than I drove my Exploder and find myself driving out of the way just because it's so much fun.
What's weirder to me, though, is that 7 months into owning her, I still look forward to hand washing her, and am irritated that new local water use regulations say that I can only wash her once a week. I've never been excited about getting to wash my car before.

So, elvissa, I find I can eco-wash my cabrio: I fill one bucket of rinse water with chamois and one bucket of soapy water with wash-mit. No hose required. I simply rinse, wash, rinse from the buckets.

Yeah I try not to wash too often for the same reason...thankfully the car is so teeny it takes less water overall.

I wish I could get away with it.
Right now, as the rules stand, if anyone saw me washing my car in my driveway, in any way, except for Saturday mornings before 10:00 (my watering day), they could call the police and I would get fined $400.
It's not worth it to take the risk, even though that's a brilliant system.

Try removing the panels and running them through the diswasher.
