February, 2006, for the St. Louis Mardi Gras Parade, and proudly driving one continuously since then. That wonderful feeling NEVER fades. Kids or adults. Same response. Smart cars are changing America, one smile at a time.

There's one way to put it.

I was never the sports car speed demon type.. And I hate driving large vehicles. The smart fits me perfectly. And manual shifting is just so pleasing...
I'll race ya, neon!
...Oh.. wait..Bad idea.
I'm still finding excuses to go for a drive, even if it's to nowhere in particular. I'll Drive to the the long way around to the store.. taking 15 mintues instead of 5. So much for fuel savings...

I've always had cars that I enjoy driving. If I don't have fun driving them, they get traded in or sold in a short amount of time. I still enjoy driving my Expedition after 9 years of ownership. I suspect my Pure will be the same.

Until I get the smart that is...then it'll be a race to see who could get their car to the speed limit without killing fuel economy...

Being nostalgic from all these posts and seeing the great pics; I have to fess up to doing a country road drag race with two friends. It was something like a 1968 VW Bug against a 1972 Opel Kadett.

Everything was in slow motion. Both cars topped out at about 52 mph! We may have killed a dragonfly or two along the way.
