Drawer under passanger seat?

I was talking to a couple that had a Smart on order and I was told that in Europe. The Smarts have some things we do not have available “YET.” They spoke about was a drawer that fits under the passenger seat. Anyone know of such a thing? If there is one, any idea’s where I can get one, or at least find out more about them?

Drawer

Hello, I have not heard about a under seat drawer for the 451's. There is one for the 450, which can be purchase through Canadian dealers or ebay. Not sure it will fit in the 451's. Search the forums for underseat drawer.

We had a rental in Gremany with one but it wasn`t a smart, it was a Renault Scenic. Maybe it`s a French thing?

Nothing similar has been announced yet for the 451, you can check foreign smart web sites and you will see the 450 drawer, but no mention of one for the 451

Our Canadian Toyota Echo HB had a nice drawer under the seat. Excellent idea. None of the Toyota Echo Sedans in the US had this.

My daughter had an Echo that had a drawer under the passenger seat. She keeps telling me how they should have put one in the smart. It actually would have been a "smart" thing to do.

I stand corrected. It was a great idea.

You all need to remember that the wires for the seat are located under the seat, and you really do not want to disconnect those wires while the key is on. The car is far too dependent on the all mighty computer, and the result of the wires coming apart is a trip to the dealer.
