So always make sure you are wearing clothes when you decide to drink and drive.

Reminds me of all those old Ohio State Trooper movies I watched in Drivers Ed.

it reminds we are not invincible,

every drive, though all went well last drive, it can be deadly, with the slightest mistake.

not only mistakes we make, but also mistakes by others, that are 100% not our fault, but equally deadly to the innocent.

drive defensively.

prepare, think ahead, of how one might get out of the way, if/when necessary.

slow down, drive within the speed limit, even if other pass you by.

driving slower,
gives more time to help avoid accidents,
reduces impact damage,
saving money on speeding tickets,
saving lost personal time appearing in court hearings,
saving gas with better mpg,
and possibly saving ones life.

never drink and drive. just not worth it.
opens a one way door to mistakes, and death.

don't joke/clown in any moving vehicle,
or do anything that could cause a moments distraction,
that in a moment, can/ and has at some time previously/
ended life.

pray all use good vehicle judgment,
to stay safe,
drive safe,
live long.

its worth it.

One BIG note, that is NOT a smart.
Notice what's left of the non smart rear lights and the spare tire mounted on the back.

Relieved that it was NOT a Smart Car

Whew, I was so 'sickened' the first time I noticed the severe damage that I exited quickly and was under the impression that it was a Smart fortwo since the back of the seats seemed so close to the back of the rear window and the rear spoiler looked somewhat similar. I was really wondering about whether I had been hoodwinked about the safety of this little car all afternoon, until it was pointed out that it was NOT a Smart Fortwo. I had to go back and look at the features and after noticing the bumpers were also totally different and there was a five bolt lug pattern on the wheels and the wheels didn't look anything like any set of Smart Wheels I had stared at, I was tremendously relieved.

I'm still rather 'freaked out' by the gruesomeness, but relieved that it was not a Smart that got sheared off and squished so horribly. I'm trying to recall those images of the little car 'bouncing' off the wall at 70 MPH, to help re-train my mind's expectations of such an impact.

Thanks for noticing it was not a Smart car, or else I would have forever assumed that it was and would always have worried about it when I climbed into the car. This is not to say that it couldn't happen to a Smart, but I do believe the engineering built in will provide some sort of added reason as to why to purchase this particular mini automobile.

a2jack, spdickey, you have deadly bad taste.

drive your smart into a semi truck, under these same conditions,
and get back to us with the results.

its people like you two, that endanger innocent drivers everywhere.

how brilliant a post. its not a smart (which everyone can see, and knows at first glance), so therefore you are relieved as though
- smart drivers are immune to this horror. -

the fact that smart is even smaller than the vehicle pictured, must exclude the possibility of the smart ever getting into a similar disaster?

hope to heaven i never see either of you on the road, and pray no one else has to risk their lives in your presence as well.

such posts that encourage smart owners to believe immunity to severe accidents such as this exits, is essentially giving them false confidence and mis-info that can lead a smart driver to death, and the death of innocents they cause in the process.

such a posting offense is far beyond a simple banning from a vehicle forum.
