A Drive In Movie

We still have a drive in up near Gatesville... FM sound through car radio or rental radio form theater..posts are still there but window mounted wired speakers are long gone and good riddance the audio was horrid on a rattling or squeaky one

I actually do not go to any theater any more because people have become so rude and incinsiderate... at the Gatesville drive in, many patrons are not there to watch a movie..they cruise around with lights on, play their thump boxes too loud, cut up and grab ass, park BIG diesel truck right next to you and never shut off motor enjoying their air conditioning...yadda yadda...

And I doubt my area will even have enough smart cars to have a "reserved night"

But it would be cool to see one with acres of smarts of all colors dense packed in at twice or three times the density normal cars and trucks would take up

I don't know if we will ever have that many smart cars... I think our drive-in could hold 300+ easily

INdiana PA's only drive-in still have the boxes... , and it's $5.00 for two movies per head for children above 12...

Ya know, guys, where there ARE drive-ins still operating, the sound comes out of your car radio, at least it did the last time I went (I will NOT tell you when that was!). But I remember those days. Holy MACKREL! Am I really that old??? As far as the "foolin' around" part, I think the Chiropractor would get lots of business. Maybe we can hire one for the evening! I LOVE the idea, though.

Yes drive-ins are fun. We took our little smarty to one this past weekend. It drew a crowd. It was a hit. I answered questions all night. Only draw back is there is no “aux’ position. Lucky we took a battery powered radio to hear the sound over the FM station.

Just located the only NJ Drive-In which i's 109 miles away. They're playing Iron Man. Wish it was closer.

I love the idea, maybe make it a yearly gathering, different location each year with a long weekends worth of activities, drive-in movie, wine tasting, ball game. Something for everyone and a ton of little cars getting to be freinds. Any one know if there are any good drive ins in Florida? I'd go! Of course I'll need to get my smart first.

Great idea! The Michigan club is going to be participating in the biggest one-day car event in the world here on August 16 ** the Woodward Dream Cruise. We are planning to team up with the Sierra Club and drive in the cruise as a group. To check out more info on the Dream cruise, you can go to http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/.
