The 1.3L Mazda 121 is still a very popular car all over Europe. It was maufactured in many different countrys. In the US it was sold as
the Ford Festiva. Most have 5 spd sticks. Nice trans.
This little four seat, two door will get 39 MPG @70-75 MPG on the freeway. The car handles well and is fun to drive.
And the best part, the Festiva, 1988-1993, sells today for $700-$1,200. When your Smart arrives, sell the Fest. You will get all your money back,
thus the free car.
Down side? The car has very little crash protection and must be driven "heads Up" like a motorcycle. (Although that's not a bad way to drive Smart either,)
