There are a few threads on this topic. the problem isn't snow. This car wont' have problem with snow. It's ice. Nothing can make the car stop on ice:ABS, EBS, 4x4, etc. That's where snow tires (like the Blizzaks) pays off. Call it insurance.
Imagine driving 60mph on the highway during the coldest months of winter. A car in front of you hits an ice patch and spins out. Most of us will stomp on the brakes. Well, when you do that, a few things will likely happen: you go into a unrecoverable spin, run right into that person, or lose control and go into the ditch.
Having snow tires might eliminate all of that. You would be able to either go around that mess or slow down enough to prevent hitting the other car. Just hope the guy behind you has snow tires or he'll run into you.
Blizzaks will be on my Smart once they are available.
