Driver mirror shakes

Hey all, does your driver mirror shakes like crazy at highway speeds? also on bumps.. but the shaking is more at highway speeds. It is the inside mirror, not the housing... the mirror as you look at it is moving like crazy.. so it is hard to see out of, it is like someone is shaking the mirror all the time.. the wind or vibrations are making it move..but, The passenger side doesnt move at all..

I test drove the cabrio at dealer.. it does it to.. My lit red cabrio does it. I have an old 91 ford escort and it doesnt do it ... why does my new 2008 car have a shaking mirror.

Dealer couldnt find anything wrong with it but why does it shake soooo much.. like an old car... shouldnt do this..

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated

mike

Mike, I doubt this will get any more responses than your original post in the 451 section.

Mirror Shaking?

I hope someone answers this. I used to have a Honda Civic Hatchback that used to have a shacky mirror. It was so annoying. I never was able to fix it. I wonder too if all Smart Fortwo's mirror shake?

Maybe try getting something called FunTak. It's a product that looks like blue gum, marketed for hanging posters in dorms, keeping picture frames straight.. anyway, it's always removable but bonds well (don't get something OTHER than the stuff called FunTak.. the imitators are junk). You might try tucking a wad of some back behind the mirror to anchor it from vibrations.

Isn't something like a shaky mirror covered by the warranty? The dealer should fix that in a heartbeat.
