Driving in the rain

okay it is raining pretty good tonight. just got home, lots of water standing in the streets, over the curbs. so how are the cars handling this. i did and do slow down any way, and do drive in the highest lanes. just wondering.

I've found mine to be better than my VUE in rain... the narrower tires tend to cut through the water I think.

You can definitely tell the engineering that has went into the handling dynamics of this car in extreme situations and/or foul weather... for being a glorified golf cart, it is very rewarding to drive if you put effort into it.

No problems with mine, even in the heaviest downpours.

I think you wil find I am one of the biggest fans of these cars period (why else would I have plunked down my cash to buy one?).

To be able to laugh at yourself is the greatest gift of all

But seriously folks - OK Im asking a lot here - If you don't know how deep the water is don't dirve in it. Their are going to be a lot of flooded roads in the midwest today. Let someone else go through it first. We don't need any flood damaged cars out their.
Also remember if the water has any flow to it it can easily take you away with it. If you think the wind can push a smart just imagine how much easier it is to get pushed by water.

Frank, it drives great in the rain. Tracks great. It was pouring yesterday on the way home, on I35. Look out for big puddles. Also look out for the idiots that tail gate behind you too. Driving too fast. There is one big puddle, lake, ocean, getting on the highway downtown, by the Phillips station, that will eat a Smart car. The drain is always backed up there.
